Affiliate Program Terms

The short version

Share your link with photographers you know. When they join and confirm their email they get 100 credits, you earn credits when they join and when they subscribe, and bonuses as your subscribers add up. Rewards are promotional credits with no cash value. Your own accounts don't count, you must tell people you earn a reward, and we can cancel rewards earned by breaking these rules. These terms sit alongside our Terms of Service; if the two disagree about the program, these terms apply.

1. Who can take part

Every Better Listing Media workspace in good standing has its own referral link. Rewards are credited to the workspace the link belongs to. You must be allowed to use Better Listing Media under our Terms of Service.

2. How a referral is counted

• A referral is a new photographer account created through your link — on the sign-up page your link opens (with email, or with Google from that page), or within 90 days of the click if the person allowed our referral cookie (see the Cookie Policy).
• Each new account can be referred once, by one link, at sign-up. It can't be changed later.
• These never count: your own accounts or your own workspace; a person who has already joined through a referral, including under another spelling of the same email address; and throwaway email addresses.
• A referral has 365 days from joining to subscribe. After that it closes and earns nothing more.

3. What each referral earns

Each referred photographer earns each reward once. Buying credits on their own is not subscribing. A credit lists at $0.10; the dollar figures on this page are that list value, not cash.

Bonuses. A “subscribed friend” is one whose subscription reward has posted. When your subscribed friends reach 3 (+100 credits), 10 (+500 credits), 25 (+1,500 credits), the bonus for that number posts once.

4. When rewards post

• A reward is shown on your dashboard as soon as it is earned, with the date it can post. Join rewards wait 7 days; subscription rewards wait 14 days.
• Before a reward posts we check it still stands. A subscription reward is cancelled if that first subscription payment is refunded (a later genuine subscription can earn it again). A join reward is cancelled if the referred account is deleted before it posts.
• Once posted, a reward is part of your credit balance. We don't take a posted reward back because a customer later asked for a refund; we may reverse one obtained by breaking these terms (section 7).

5. Limits

• You can invite as many photographers as you like.
• Join rewards are paid for up to 10 new photographers in any 30 days, and welcome credits for up to 10 photographers you invite in any 30 days; past that, a welcome is reviewed before it posts.
• Up to 3,000 credits of rewards post to a workspace in any 30 days. Anything past that waits and posts as the window moves on — it is not lost. The program also has a daily limit across all workspaces, which can delay a reward by a day.
• Some rewards are reviewed by a person before they post — for example, several accounts created from the same network, or a subscription paid for with a card your own workspace has used. A reward in review that is not approved within 30 days is cancelled.

6. What rewards are

Rewards, including the credits your friend receives, are promotional credits. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, sold or transferred to another workspace, and are spent exactly like any other credit on your balance. You are responsible for any tax that applies to rewards you receive.

7. How you may share — and what cancels a reward

• Say that you earn a reward. Whenever you share your link, make clear that you earn credit if someone signs up — for example, “(I earn credit if you sign up)”. The message on your dashboard already does.
• Share with people who would want to hear from you. No spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or messages that break anti-spam or privacy laws.
• Don't present yourself as Better Listing Media, buy ads on our name, or make claims about our prices, results or turnaround that we don't make ourselves.
• Don't refer yourself, create or pay for accounts or subscriptions to collect rewards, or use automation to register accounts.

If we reasonably believe a reward was earned by breaking these terms, we may cancel it before it posts, reverse it after it posts, or remove your workspace from the program. We will tell you why when we do.

8. What we record

For each referral we record the link used, the referred person's email address, and — to prevent abuse — the network address and browser they signed up from. The network address and browser are erased 120 days after sign-up, and the email address when the referred account is deleted. To stop self-dealing we keep a one-way fingerprint (a hash) of the payment method used for platform payments — never card details — erased 400 days after we first see it (a card still in use is recorded again). You see a masked version of the email (for example, j•••@gmail.com), whether they have subscribed, and the rewards they earned you — never their work, orders or what they paid. Our Privacy Policy explains the rest.

9. Changes and ending the program

We may change these terms, the rewards or the limits, or end the program, by updating this page. A change never alters a reward already earned: it posts at the amount shown on your dashboard, under the rules that applied when it was earned. If we end the program, rewards already earned still post.
